2010 HiRe - Session 2 - Strategy
HiRe Series: Financial, Strategy & Change Management
HiRe = Hire HR Professionals. This event is open to HR and Business people. Vendors welcome.
This is one of three sessions. Each presentation/session will require independent registration.

Todd Ordal works as a thought partner to CEOs to help them “connect the dots” between current reality and a compelling picture of the future. Prior to founding Applied Strategy, Todd’s leadership experience included board and executive experience at Kinko’s where he was a Division President responsible for 300 stores and 7,000 employees; a sporting goods company—where he was Chief Executive Officer and Chairman; and a chain of clinics that tested and treated learning disabilities where he was Chief Executive Officer. Todd has a B.A. in Psychology and a Masters in Business Administration. He is a certified executive coach and is President of the CO chapter of the Institute of Management Consultants.

We spend 99% of our business lives “managing” strategy, so it is of little mystery that “crafting” strategy is so difficult. Todd Ordal will help us explore the language, concepts, processes and reasons for thinking strategically from a CEO’s perspective. Before he was a strategy consultant, Todd Ordal spent 25 years running businesses. His frustration with traditional strategic planning methods developed by academicians in libraries drove him to search for practical ways to help executives craft and manage business strategy.
